As an Advertising Agency Development Lead you will build and manage relationships with Agencies to help them expand their digital presence on Nextdoor. Working from our New York office, you’ll collaborate with Sales, Sales Marketing, Product and Measurement to grow revenue from these agencies. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Head of Agency Development and be a key driver of the company’s aggressive growth strategy.

- Utilize their existing network of high-level agency executives to introduce and evangelize the company as an essential partner
- Firmly establish Nextdoor as the place for businesses to drive measurable outcomes by creating meaningful connections with a uniquely engaged local audience
- Act as the primary point of contact, escalation point and thought leader for your Agencies in the US and UK
- Develop and deliver education & inspiration focused meetings that have an impact on multiple roles (media, digital, strategic planning) in the Agency
- Develop status as a trusted peer by leadership at the respective agencies and brands in the US
- Conduct periodic business reviews with Agency leadership and important constituencies
- Understand Agency’s businesses and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs
- Provide best-in-class client service and partnership across all facets of Agency investment, planning, social and research
- Drive the Agency growth via a strategic focus on top accounts
- Effectively communicate Agency needs, and collaborate with internal Sales teams, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Ad Ops to introduce relationships at various agency levels to achieve revenue goals
- Identify and lead initiatives with Agencies for impactful joint opportunities
- Track revenue performance across the Agency portfolio in the US and determine corrective measures where needed
- Participate in in-person Nextdoor events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and other team building exercises
- Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor values
What You’ll Bring To The Team
- 10+ years of marketing, brand advertising, agency, media sales and/or online advertising experience leading businesses or accounts and/or the ability to perform at an advanced level in the domain
- A deep Rolodex of senior agency leaders and decision-makers at the major holding companies across the United States
- Outstanding persuasive communication and presentation skills in communicating complex solutions
- Possess strong communication skills with excellent presentation skills
- Confident, high energy, self-motivated, and a true team player
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking and project management skills

Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package.
The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $140,00 - $200,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your ’level’ of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may vary by geography.
Importantly, the compensation for this role also includes a variable incentive component, which will vary depending on your achievement of sales-related goals and objectives.
We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.
