Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a software engineering discipline
  • Proven experience with being a coach and a mentor for team members and helping them grow
  • Strong backend and database experience
  • Familiarity with front end code
  • Significant experience with full stack application development
  • Experience working with both monolithic and microservices architectures
  • Experience with creating and refactoring databases that can withstand high query volumes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience debugging performance issues and improving application performance
  • Exposure to large-scale system design
Responsibilities
  • The Senior Software Engineer on the K-Ops X team will drive engineering innovation across Klaviyo. Through internal tooling, automation, data connections, and a keen eye for optimization this role will empower other Klaviyos. This is a newer team to Klaviyo, where you'll be the second member, and the Senior member of the team. This is a role with significant stakeholder interaction, which requires a bunch thinking on your feet and knowing when to stop and put a plan together
  • Engineers come to Klaviyo with experience in a variety of languages and from a number of disciplines. Our development community is incredibly diverse, so an effective member of this team needs to be comfortable working with any modern programming language across various platforms and environments
