Aug 06, 2026, 08:00 ET BMC AMI DevX, included in the report, supports the company's commitment to deliver purpose-built agentic AI for mainframe environments HOUSTON, Aug. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - BMC, the automation company for the AI era, been recognized as a Challenger in the 2026 Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for AI-Augmented Code Modernization [[1]]. A complimentary copy of the report is available for download here. Enterprises come to BMC first for trusted execution and reliability with innovations that are designed to scale across mainframe, cloud, and hybrid environments. BMC believes that the Challenger recognition supports BMC's long-term vision and commitment to deliver purpose-built agentic AI for mainframe environments. By helping customers to innovate faster with less risk, BMC AMI DevX brings governance, enterprise integrations, and domain-specific mainframe context to mission-critical environments. According to Gartner, AI-Augmented Code Modernization Tools are "software solutions that use specialized AI agents, generative AI, and deterministic analysis to accelerate the transformation of legacy systems. These tools automate and enhance a broad spectrum of modernization activities, including deep code and architecture analysis, software documentation, dependency mapping, risk assessment, migration planning, and refactoring. By supporting end-to-end modernization workflows, they significantly expedite the adoption of modern software architectures." As development leaders look to drive speed and productivity with AI-augmented code development, the industry has found that there are gaps in addressing legacy code, skills shortages and modernization of core systems. A BMC mainframe survey found that nearly half of the respondents' priorities continued to shift toward modernization, with application modernization and enhancing automation among the top priorities year-over-year.[[2]] Reimagine development with BMC AMI DevX BMC AMI DevX transforms the mainframe developer experience, bringing AI to the code on the platform the business already trusts. The code stays where it runs best, without the risk of replatforming. This helps developers at all skill levels achieve seamless flow, low burnout, and higher job satisfaction. The platform: * Provides developers with secure access to institutional knowledge and application insights through BMC AMI Assistant, which includes a Model Context Protocol (MCP)-enabled client for mainframe context. Developers can understand a program's history, dependencies, and health before they change the program. * Delivers fused behavioral analysis of applications, code explanation, code refactoring, code conversion, and testing. * Includes enterprise integrations that enable customers to treat the mainframe platform like any other, with flexibility, across the development environment, the toolchain, and the AI layer. * Supplies enterprise integration with the speed and simplicity of modern AI development. A Gartner Peer Insights(TM) review of BMC AMI DevX mentions that "this tool has revolutionized the way I do my job. I am able to do research more rapidly and with greater effectiveness." - Director of IT in insurance industry. "AI code translation is not modernization," said John McKenny, senior vice president and general manager of Intelligent Z Optimization and Transformation at BMC. "Real modernization happens when AI is embedded inside the system, close to the workflows, data, and decision points that run the business. At BMC we're focused on applying AI where it meaningfully reduces risk and compresses time, providing measurable improvement in how the business runs. HappyOrNot appoints Tim Waterton as CEO to accelerate shift beyond customer feedback.

HappyOrNot appoints Tim Waterton as CEO to accelerate shift beyond customer feedback. Published July 08, 2026 Having helped shape the company's commercial and product strategy over the past three years, Waterton will lead HappyOrNot's evolution beyond customer feedback, turning everyday interactions into real-time operational insight. Tampere, Finland - HappyOrNot today announced the appointment of Tim Waterton as Chief Executive Officer. His appointment marks the next chapter in the company's evolution beyond traditional customer feedback, as HappyOrNot moves to help organizations make faster, better-informed operational decisions through real-time insight. Since joining as Chief Revenue Officer in 2021, Waterton has helped transform HappyOrNot from a company best known for its iconic Smileys into a business focused on improving operational performance. During that time, the company strengthened its commercial organization by accelerating investment in data, AI and product innovation, transforming HappyOrNot from a feedback company into a business focused on operational performance. This evolution reflects years of investment in data, AI and product innovation. Built on more than two billion feedback responses, HappyOrNot's AI transforms millions of customer and employee interactions into structured insights, helping organizations identify issues sooner, prioritize action and continuously improve performance. Rather than relying on surveys, scheduled pulse programs and retrospective reporting, HappyOrNot believes organizations increasingly need a continuous stream of operational insight generated from millions of in-the-moment interactions. HappyOrNot call these moments microfeedback - continuous signals that enable teams to identify issues earlier, act faster and improve outcomes while there's still time to make a difference. Tim Waterton, Chief Executive Officer of HappyOrNot, comments: "For years HappyOrNot Ltd. has helped organizations understand how people feel in the moment. The opportunity now is much bigger than measuring feedback. It's about identifying what needs attention while there's still time to improve it. HappyOrNot Ltd. has spent years building the platform, investing in AI and learning from more than two billion feedback responses to make that possible. Its ambition is simple: to help organizations continuously improve the way they operate by putting timely, actionable insight into the hands of the people who can make a difference." Today HappyOrNot supports more than 4,000 brands across 135 countries, including Amazon, Google, Heathrow Airport and Aramark. Partnerships with Sensormatic Solutions and MarketDial further extend the company's ability to combine microfeedback with operational data across retail, hospitality, transport, healthcare and other service industries. Waterton brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across enterprise software and technology. He previously co-founded software company Simulus, later acquired by BMC Software, before holding senior leadership roles at M-Files and RainStor. Earlier in his career, he also held positions at the London Stock Exchange and Accenture. Carl Holmquist, Chairman of HappyOrNot, comments: "Tim has played a central role in shaping the company we are today. He understands our customers, our strategy and our long-term opportunity, making him the right person to lead HappyOrNot through its next phase of growth." The Board also thanks outgoing Chief Executive Officer Miika Mäkitalo for his leadership and contributions to HappyOrNot over the past five years.

BMC expands SAP collaboration with PartnerEdge Build status and SAP Store availability for Control-M.

BMC expands SAP collaboration with PartnerEdge Build status and SAP Store availability for Control-M. As organizations continue to modernize SAP environments across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures, workflow orchestration is becoming an increasingly important component of enterprise operations. While ERP platforms provide the foundation for core business processes, ensuring those processes execute reliably across SAP and non-SAP environments remains a growing challenge as application landscapes become more distributed. Against this backdrop, BMC Software has expanded its long-standing relationship with SAP by joining the SAP PartnerEdge program as a Build partner. At the same time, the company's Control-M solution is now available in the SAP Store following SAP certification, extending access to workflow orchestration capabilities for organizations running SAP-centric enterprise environments. Supporting end-to-end SAP process orchestration. The new PartnerEdge Build designation reinforces BMC's collaboration with SAP while enabling customers to deploy Control-M as part of broader SAP transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), and hybrid cloud environments. Rather than focusing solely on workload scheduling, Control-M provides centralized orchestration and monitoring across SAP applications, cloud services, data pipelines, and third-party systems. The platform is designed to help enterprises coordinate business-critical workflows from a single interface while improving operational visibility and reducing manual intervention. As enterprises increasingly combine SAP workloads with external cloud applications and AI-enabled services, maintaining end-to-end process reliability has become a priority for IT and operations teams seeking to reduce operational complexity. Helping enterprises modernize SAP landscapes. According to BMC, Control-M enables organizations to coordinate, monitor, and resolve issues across interconnected business processes while supporting service-level agreement (SLA) management and centralized operational oversight. Making the solution available through the SAP Store also simplifies procurement for SAP customers while SAP certification provides additional assurance that the platform meets SAP interoperability requirements for long-term compatibility. "SAP is increasingly becoming a cornerstone within a much broader ecosystem that includes agents, multi-cloud services and hybrid environments," said Brian Jones, Global Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at BMC. "What sets Control-M apart is its ability to provide a universal orchestration layer that helps enable SAP customers to reliably run business processes across SAP and third-party environments, allowing them to maintain continuity and reduce disruption while protecting their SAP investments." Why it matters. As enterprise architectures become increasingly heterogeneous, successful ERP modernization depends not only on migrating core applications but also on orchestrating the growing number of interconnected processes that span cloud platforms, legacy systems, data pipelines, and external applications. As organizations modernize SAP environments, the need to coordinate workflows that span ERP, cloud services, data pipelines, and third-party applications is becoming increasingly important. Solutions such as Control-M are designed to provide centralized orchestration and visibility across these interconnected processes, helping enterprises simplify operations while maintaining business continuity. By joining the SAP PartnerEdge program as a Build partner and making Control-M available through the SAP Store, BMC is expanding its collaboration with SAP while providing customers with additional options for orchestrating business-critical workflows across increasingly hybrid enterprise environments. Gunnison, BMC Helix to Develop CyberFusion Platform for Federal Agencies

Gunnison, BMC Helix to develop CyberFusion platform for federal agencies. Gil Dussek Gunnison Consulting Group, a federal IT and cybersecurity services provider, has partnered with BMC Helix to co-develop the CyberFusion platform to support federal agencies with integrated, artificial intelligence-driven cybersecurity and IT operations capabilities. Gunnison's CyberFusion initiative reflects the growing need for integrated, real-time cyber defense capabilities. Learn more about evolving cyberthreats and zero trust priorities at the Potomac Officers Club's 2026 Cyber Summit on May 21. Sign up today! What is the CyberFusion platform? CyberFusion is an asset-centric cyber and IT operations platform, Gunnison said Thursday. The platform unifies security and operational workflows using advanced agentic AI, enabling agencies to track their assets, mission roles and real-time security posture through a single, continuously updated view. How will CyberFusion support federal cyber efforts? The platform is intended to help agencies address federal mandates tied to zero trust architecture, asset visibility and cyber resilience. It correlates telemetry from multiple security and IT operations sources to accelerate mean time to response and strengthen mission assurance. CyberFusion also enables agencies to assess key operational questions regarding asset ownership, mission dependencies and system security conditions. Gunnison will leverage its federal contract vehicles to give agencies a streamlined acquisition path for CyberFusion. "Our collaboration with BMC Helix combines Gunnison's proven cyber and operations mission-delivery success across organizations such as the U.S. Marine Corps, Department of State, Health and Human Services, the Federal Courts, and the Department of the Interior, combined with BMC Helix's Unified System Context, open AI-extensible architecture, and FedRAMP-authorized platform capabilities, brings together execution and innovation to deliver an operationally contextualized view of risk, exposure, and control status," said Gil Dussek, CEO of Gunnison. Notable Gunnison contract awards. Beyond the collaboration with BMC Helix, Gunnison has secured several federal contracts supporting IT and cybersecurity efforts across government agencies. In January 2026, the company won a position on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Global Infrastructure and Development Acquisition, or GLINDA, 2.0 blanket purchase agreement for IT support services. In January 2025, Gunnison secured a contract worth an estimated $10 million to provide digital services to the U.S. House of Representatives. The company also partnered with GovSmart in 2024 on a $23 million contract to provide BMC Helix software-as-a-service to the U.S. Marine Corps.
