Our challenge
We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Snowflake Developer who possesses a robust background in Snowflake Data Cloud, Big Data technologies, and data engineering. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing advanced data architectures, with a strong emphasis on leveraging Snowflake alongside Hadoop, Kafka, and Python.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Irving, TX is $120k - $135k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a data engineering team focused on Snowflake and Big Data technologies, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Design, develop, and implement complex data solutions using Snowflake, Hadoop, and Kafka.
- Provide technical expertise on Snowflake’s data warehouse and data lake capabilities, optimizing performance and scalability.
- Architect and implement effective data pipelines and data models specifically tailored for Snowflake, utilizing ELT processes and Snowflake SQL.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and foster continuous improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient data solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Snowflake, Hadoop, and Kafka, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
Requirements:
You are:
- Experience Range: 14 Years
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar role in Data Engineering, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud, including data modeling, ELT, and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong background in Big Data technologies, particularly Hadoop and Kafka, for managing and processing large datasets.
- Proficiency in Python programming for data processing and automation.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and data architecture best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with other data manipulation languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools and data integration platforms is a plus.
- Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core Certification) is required (MUST)
