The staff attorney / legal analyst will play an integral role within the Alternatives / Private Equity Group of Neuberger Berman’s Legal and Compliance Department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to interface with a variety of internal and external counsel in Dallas, New York and London, and various colleagues and business groups across the firm. The ideal candidate is a professional who is able to work at a high level and in a fast-paced, demanding environment. This job will require strong writing and reading skills and the ability to think critically and issue spot.
Responsibilities:
Provide legalsupport, including:
Reviewing, negotiating and revising confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements and coordinating with relevant business leads, internal lawyers (as necessary) and external counter-parts to agree such contracts in a timely and efficient manner
Reviewing, negotiating and revising engagement letters and other similar commercial and service provider contracts with input from business leads and support from internal lawyers (as necessary)
Tracking various legal processes (e.g. non-disclosure agreements, jurisdictional registrations, commercial contracts, etc.)
Serving as a knowledge resource for group best practices in fundraising and deal execution.
Supporting internal fundraising teams on global fund registration applications and requirements
Organizing and maintaining books and records pertaining to multiple advisory entities and funds, as well as transaction closing sets
Assisting in preparation of legal documentation for various transactions
Completing and reviewing formation documentation and structure charts
Supporting the internal Compliance group with tracking attendance and over-sight on certain discussions with external parties
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of work experience as a lawyer
Bachelor’s degree
JD Required
Strong writing and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Ability to perform in fast paced environment
Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented
Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
Resourceful and able to handle multiple and changing priorities
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
Must be teamwork oriented and also be able to work independently with minimal guidance

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $100,000-$155,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in . An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
