Requirements
  • At least one year of active, verifiable experience as an armed security guard, military police officer, or law enforcement officer.
  • An active Florida Class D Security Officer License.
  • An active Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License.
  • Ability to pass and maintain the U.S. Army Garrison Department of Emergency Services physical fitness and agility standards.
  • Ability to qualify and maintain the Department of Emergency Services firearms and shooting proficiency standards.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history, credit, and employment verification.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and consent to random ongoing screenings.
  • A valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate effectively in outdoor weather conditions typical of South Florida.
  • Physical agility to respond quickly to emergencies, detain intruders if necessary, and meet ongoing fitness qualifications.
Responsibilities
  • Manage access control points and conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the residential community.
  • Monitor security systems to prevent unauthorized entry or security breaches.
  • Work with the U.S. Army Garrison Department of Emergency Services during daily operations, joint training, and emergency response coordination.
  • Respond to security alarms, medical emergencies, and potential threats as a first responder while implementing established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed daily activity logs and write incident reports for management and Department of Emergency Services review.
  • Represent the security force and community professionally while providing customer service and maintaining vigilance.
Desired Qualifications
  • A DoD Secret security clearance.
