Requirements
  • 1 to 4 years of experience depending on level of education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide local and remote support as a member of an enterprise support team.
  • Respond to network and telecommunications trouble tickets involving wired and wireless connections, bandwidth issues, Voice over Internet Protocol phones, and voicemail problems.
  • Support IP assignment and Domain Name System hostname entry into the Infoblox system.
  • Coordinate projects, site upgrades, team communication, device configurations, and site support.
  • Create network topology diagrams using Visio and document procedures, how-to instructions, and work instructions using Excel and Word.
  • Support site switches, Voice over Internet Protocol phone system equipment, and communications devices.
  • Support operations equipment and devices and manage and support Voice over Internet Protocol infrastructure.
  • Perform cross-connections of lines and cable runs, Ethernet custom cabling, and fiber connections to outbuildings.
  • Order specifications for new operations equipment and cables used to connect them.
  • Set up Voice over Internet Protocol phones and perform analog phone cabling and punch-down work.
  • Work occasional after-hours or weekend shifts as required by job duties and the customer-site mission environment.
  • Travel periodically as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is preferred.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate certification is desirable.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library certification is a plus.
