THE ROLE
The Lead Consultant - Oracle Health provides consulting services and subject matter expertise to clients with a focus on application/module, application suite, or training capacity. The Lead Consultant – Oracle Health works directly with the Oracle Health Implementation, Affiliate or Training Solutions team to provide exceptional on-site solution delivery based upon the needs of Nordic clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Consultant - Oracle Health will perform, and is not limited to, any combination of the following duties and responsibilities below:
Consultant Team Management
- Provide overall project and application team direction in collaboration with other leaders and Nordic Engagement Advisor
- Work with Engagement Advisor to interview and identify project team members, as needed
- Coach and mentor team, resolve conflicts, maintain positive team morale, and deliver direct and timely feedback based upon project work and performance
- Assign project work across team members, track progress, and adjust assignments as needed to meet deadlines and maintain project momentum
- Hold team accountable for adherence to Nordic standards of quality, clarity, professionalism, and consistency.
Project Management & Delivery
- Support projects with a goal of delivering on time, on budget, and with positive and measurable outcomes
- Monitor project health for assigned area(s); identify, document, mitigate, or escalate issues as needed
- Maintain detailed application/area plan; maintain risk/decision trackers
- Complete build plan and effort estimates, and maintain detailed build and workflow documentation
- Complete workflow design, system configuration, testing, data migration, validation, support, and issue resolution
- Act as positive change agent during change management process
- Shepherd project-specific content through approval and migration process
- Understand impact to application/area of requested changes made
- Define, manage, and adhere to project scope
- Prepare decision documents with thorough investigation, background summary, pros/cons list, and recommendation
- Work towards consensus and decisions that best support client’s needs and project goals and guiding principles
- Use, update, and customize client and Nordic and vendor-provided tools throughout project life cycle
- Create professional project deliverables and communications that are appropriate for a leadership level audience
- Come well prepared for presentations and deliver material in a confident and professional manner; facilitate departmental and potentially executive-level meetings
- Manage meetings effectively; identify audience, prepare agendas and goals, take notes, track follow ups
- Produce regular status reports; perform project close, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer activities
Sales Enablement & Solutions Development
- Support the creation of Nordic solution materials, such as toolkit documentation and proposals
- Discuss client needs with Implementation Services leadership for new solution creation
- Share lessons learned and best practices with the Implementation Services team and help improve our solutions, tools, and recommendations based on learnings
- Take direction from Nordic Enterprise, including Engagement Advisor and Implementation Services leadership
- Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years full-cycle Oracle Health implementation experience
- Experience with merger, acquisition, or experience with post live optimizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service attitude and skillset
- Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines and monitor one’s own work product
- Proven ability to thrive in, and foster, an existing team-oriented culture rooted in respect, high ethics and integrity, teamwork, camaraderie, collaboration, and effective communication
- Solution-oriented; skilled in grasping the essentials in complex situations, anticipating client needs, and conceptualizing both problems and solutions
- Experience in presenting to large groups or key stakeholders
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Works primarily remote
- Additional work to be performed at client locations, some of which may be in hospitals and medical clinics
- Ability to travel up to 25-75% of the time
- Position works a non-traditional schedule; work may be needed on different time zones, weekends or evenings
