Requirements
  • High school graduate with at least 3-5 years of experience in construction inspection or related field
  • FDOT CTQP (Construction Training Qualification Program) Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • Strong understanding of FDOT standards, specifications and procedures
  • CTQP Concrete
  • Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
  • Must be at least 18 years old for entry onto job sites, must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Familiarity with construction inspection tools, equipment and software applications
Responsibilities
  • Conducting through inspections of drilled shaft construction sites to ensure compliance with FDOT specifications, plans and standards
  • Performing quality control checks on materials, equipment, and workmanship related to drilled shaft installation
  • Traveling to various job sites in a company provided vehicle
  • Documenting and reporting inspection findings accurately and promptly using appropriate forms and reporting tools to supervisors and colleagues
  • Communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results, issues and resolutions
  • Monitoring and tracking construction progress, schedule adherence and adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with the team members to ensure that construction activities align with project specifications and requirements
  • Stay updated with relevant industry standards, best practices, and regulatory changes related to drilled shaft construction and inspection
  • Participate in meetings, workshops and training sessions as required to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Other duties may be assigned
