We are in the process of maturing our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by extending service mapping for our business applications, application services, technical services and associated infrastructure.

Service mapping will enable successfully planned changes and contribute to efficiently managed incidents in the environment along with maintainingan accurate CMDB.

The Service Mapping will play a critical role in the service mapping process and will be responsible for build and maintainaccurate application service models for existing and new applications

What You’ll Do:

• Understand the organization’s business and technical requirements (service models) to design appropriate infrastructure components. 

• Develop and maintain governance for service mapping.

• Service Mapping SME will be required to build relationships between the model and the business capabilities and services.

• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, developers, operations teams, and business leaders, to ensure alignment with organizational goals. 

• Conduct assessments and optimization reviews. Continuously validating service maps and topologies to ensure accuracy and fit for purpose.  

• Drive adoption of service mapping across all 100+ service managers to drive consistency and scale across MT

• Accountable for the end to end connectivity between tagging and discovery team, ensuring that all applications are tagged and governed by McKesson standards and ensuring all in-scope devices are discoverable. 

• Will be an active thought leader to drive the development and adoption of key metrics, SLAs, and CSI to support the MT Service Operating Model.

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent experience. Typically has 10+ years of professional / technical experience 

Critical Skills 

A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a variety of IT architecture, IT Service Management and/or IT Compliance roles (such as hands-on service delivery, operations management, consulting, etc.) with increasing levels of responsibility. 

Understanding and experience implementing and supporting the ITAM, ITSM, ITOM modules of ServiceNow.

Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform data model, especially as related to shared tables (CMDB, tasks, etc.) and processes.

Strong technical foundation in the Now Platform, either as an administrator or developer. 

Knowledge and experience in database design schemas, database modeling, and cloud application technology.

Requirements gathering and facilitation experience.

Additional Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Strong collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills to successfully partner with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Experience designing systems to optimize IT operations.

Relevant professional certification (e.g., ITIL credentials, ServiceNow certifications), strongly preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
