Requirements
  • Two or more years of experience as a shop Lead or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read industrial-specific drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working in a safe ISO 9001-certified environment.
  • Two or more years of experience with UL and National Electrical Code codes.
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four or more hours at a time.

Responsibilities
  • Lead one or more teams in executing production and manufacturing processes.
  • Assign and explain daily tasks to associates, monitor work progress and policy compliance, and train and assist associates.
  • Supervise staff to produce manufactured products and organize and monitor workflow.
  • Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees; and initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruit, select, onboard, train, and mentor employees.
  • Monitor and upgrade processes, set processing variables, observe control points and equipment, monitor personnel and resources, study methods, implement cost reductions, develop reporting procedures and systems, facilitate corrections to process-control malfunctions, and foster cooperation within and between departments.
  • Schedule and assign personnel, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report processing-flow results on shift production summaries.
  • Establish and enforce production standards.
  • Call for equipment repairs and evaluate new equipment and techniques.
  • Compile, initiate, sort, and analyze production performance records and data, and answer questions and respond to requests.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
  • Research new processes and efficiencies to reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Educate and direct personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain working relationships with union members and representatives by following the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, benchmarking, and participation in professional societies.
