Responsibilities
  • Travel throughout the district to fill pharmacist shifts scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator.
  • Oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
  • Support the management, oversight, and operation of pharmacies and pharmacy teams within the district.
  • Assume the Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist on duty.
  • Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and directing the pharmacy team to follow them.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care, collaborating with patients’ total healthcare teams, and proactively resolving insurance or medication issues.
  • Coach the pharmacy team to provide compassionate care.
  • Offer and deliver immunizations and engage and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize.
  • Support effective pharmacy inventory management across pharmacies, including protecting cold-chain products.
  • Remain flexible to scheduling and business needs while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
  • Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills through required training and continuing medical education and seek opportunities to expand knowledge.
  • Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care, including testing and prescribing services such as COVID-19, influenza, and hormonal contraception services where permitted.
  • Empower the pharmacy team to provide holistic care throughout the patient care journey.

Nine major PBMs to display TrumpRx prescription drug prices from 2027

Nine pharmacy benefit managers will integrate TrumpRx prescription drug pricing into their benefit tools, effective 1 January 2027. The Pharmaceutical Care Management Association and participating PBMs—including CVS Health, Express Scripts, Humana, and OptumRx—will display cash prices from TrumpRx alongside plan coverage costs. The agreement covers commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans. Patients will see TrumpRx prices for all listed drugs, whether through presidential deals or standard pricing. CMS Administrator Dr Mehmet Oz said the commitment will help patients compare prices and find better deals. PCMA CEO David Marin stated the transparency will allow consumers to make better-informed choices about prescription drug costs. Some PBMs will use Real Time Benefit Tools to display pricing comparisons, whilst others may employ different methods.
