  • Experience in systems integration and design
  • Experience with drawing tools, such as Microsoft Visio
  • Knowledge of the SysML modeling language
  • Knowledge of basic system architecture work products, including block diagrams, interface diagrams, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams
  • Knowledge of system-level vehicle networking design principles, such as data bandwidth, throughput, and determinism
  • Ability to work independently on system-level design concepts with minimal oversight from other team members, convey a design concept to a larger team and defend design decisions when challenged, and quickly break-down complex engineering tasks and identify a solution approach
  • Ability to travel to the client’s or subsystem vendor’s site at least once a month
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience adapting designs of legacy systems to modern architectures based on MOSA
  • Experience with subsystem component design and integration into larger systems
  • Experience with ground combat vehicle electrical system design and system safety design best practices
  • Experience with the MagicDraw modeling tool suite, and structured decision-making processes
  • Knowledge of APS components, such as sensors or countermeasures, functions, and design considerations
  • Knowledge of best SysML modeling principles
  • Ability to provide guidance for future model enhancement
  • Possession of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering
Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for leading the adaptation of multiple vendor subsystems to comply with the Modular Active Protection Systems (APS) Framework (MAF) as an Integration Engineer supporting a U.S. Army client.
  • Interact with subsystem vendors in both a technical and programmatic manner, as well as develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts required to support the adaptation effort.
  • Perform direct customer support and system modeling, generate system level design products, and support the evaluation of a subsystem to the specified requirements.
