  • A bachelor's degree and two or more years of experience working as an intelligence analyst, investigator, or in another analytical role, or
  • A graduate or professional degree in a relevant field or East Asian Studies
  • Professional fluency in Chinese language, particularly reading skills
  • Deep regional or functional expertise, travel, residency, and/or 1-3 years of professional experience in China or the region
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven effectiveness in written and verbal communication
  • The ability to exercise discretion while working with highly sensitive information
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards
Responsibilities
  • Produce risk assessments and conduct investigations
  • Monitor employee communications for potential violations of relevant securities laws, rules, regulations, and firm policies, and escalate potential issues
  • Conduct routine trade surveillance, which includes analyzing employee trading activity
  • Leverage resources, technology, and information to protect the firm's reputation and minimize risk
  • Innovate and design in-house Chinese language models and tools for implementation by the team
  • Use regional/area knowledge and language skills to inform analysis and communicate with employees in Hong Kong and Singapore
  • Brief firm CCO and CSO on key findings from risk assessments
  • Respond to information requests from financial regulators and other external parties
  • Ad hoc taskings from members of the senior management team
  • Participate in/lead trainings and other professional development efforts
