Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Organization, Finance, Public Administration or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in non-profit management or project management within the broadband, telecommunications, not for profit, or community related organizations.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Per direction from the Chief Strategic Officer, assists with preparation of proposal parameters, including writing the scope of work and other portions of proposals directly related to the scope of work.
  • Ensures grantees receive available programmatic, evaluation, and technical assistance resources, including strategic planning, formative research, access to best practices information, measurable outcomes, implementation tools and templates, evaluation designs, and capacity building.
  • Plans collaboratively with other technical assistance and training professionals, as well as grantees, when developing new tools, protocols, technical assistance delivery, and training events.
  • Conducts post-award and pre-performance meetings with grantees to go over agreed upon measurable outcomes, grant terms and conditions, funding amount, required reports, deadlines, grant support, training schedule, and other pertinent information.
  • Reviews and approves program-related strategic maps, work plans, budgets, and budget revision requests.
  • Reviews programmatic and financial tracking reports for link to the scope of work and recommends course correction as needed.
  • Track and manage project timelines and permit deadlines to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Implements and maintains a grantee reporting process that includes periodic performance reports, results of completed projects, how results are disseminated, and a process that provides periodic feedback to grantees.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact with grantees and provides guidance, training, and consultation to grantees on best practices for operating a program under the terms of the grant, effective implementation of the grant, and appropriate use of agency funds.
  • Conducts telephone, e-mail, face-to-face, and virtual guidance, and consultation regarding concerns and needs particular to all grantees. This includes concerns and needs related to program action plans, budgets, reports, and evaluation, as well as operating and managing the grant.
  • Provides guidance, consultation, and training to grantees to include information on best practices for managing and operating a program under the terms of the grant.
