Requirements
  • The candidate must have one year of project coordination experience.
  • The candidate must have construction accounting experience; project accounting experience is preferred.
  • The candidate must have an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • The candidate must have experience with lien waivers, preliminary notices, project billing, retention, and change order management.
  • The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The candidate must be able to organize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • The candidate must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, dependability, confidentiality, customer service, problem-solving, and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively and influence actions and negotiate outcomes across organizational levels.
  • The candidate must be able to handle sensitive situations objectively and professionally.
  • The candidate must maintain regular attendance and comply with scheduled work hours.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for multiple jobs while working with multiple project managers.
  • Prepare project billings and purchase orders and work to ensure prompt customer payments.
  • Maintain healthy and conducive working relationships with contractors and vendors or suppliers.
  • Ensure project coding and costs are accurate and up to date and provide accurate reporting to assigned project managers and the controller.
  • File preliminary notices for all jobs in the State Construction Registry to protect Hunt Electric's future lien rights.
  • Manage and obtain lien waivers for each job to ensure timely release of monthly draws with the general contractor.
  • Provide receptionist backup by greeting and announcing visitors and answering phones.
  • Assist project managers, the controller, and the chief financial officer with miscellaneous projects and assignments.
  • Assist with accounting-related duties and coordinate projects with other employees.
  • Perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by the manager.
