  • Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
  • Experience in an engineering position
  • Consolidated knowledge of turbomachinery and rotorcraft and relevant design requirements
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements in EU (CS-E, CS-27, CS-29) and EASA Part-21 basic principles
  • Basic knowledge of conventional and special machining processes (drilling, turning, milling, broaching, shot peening, EDM, ECM, etc.)
  • Familiarity with GE Aerospace / GE Avio organization and products
  • Never-ending learning attitude and a System thinking mentality

Responsibilities
  • Actively support the design teams during the entire life cycle (NPI and fielded products) by establishing strong collaboration with Avio Aero Sections and GE Aerospace sites
  • Contribute with internal / external customers in defining and executing the certification plans for NPI and changes to fielded products ensuring the initial airworthiness
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams to improve or resolve manufacturing, suppliers’, or field issues ensuring the continued airworthiness
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams in cost reduction, problem solving and quality initiatives
  • Meet NPI milestones
  • Meet on time delivery of internal/external customers’ requests
  • Prepare and present at Technical Reviews
  • Collaborate with Airworthiness Authority and/or Industry working groups to defining the state of the art in Airworthiness and Certification
  • Contribute to assessing the implication of the innovative technologies on the certification with focus on regulatory novelty and technology maturation
  • Collaborate with ODA - Regulation & Certification Engineers (RCEs) for programs under FAA jurisdiction
  • Contribute to the Company Independent System Monitoring (ISM) during audit campaigns
