Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 0–3 years of experience; no prior work experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently on individual tasks and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with report writing and presentation development.
  • General knowledge of graphic design tools.
  • Knowledge of water resources engineering, specifically hydrology and hydraulics.
Responsibilities
  • Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to create civil construction documents for publicly funded stormwater capture design projects, including grading, hydraulics, hydrology, site layout, soil erosion and sediment control, and utility designs.
  • Support development of stormwater capture facility conceptual design content, including conceptual drawings and maps, geospatial analysis, hydraulic analysis, and technical writing.
  • Provide design, coordination, and follow-up to ensure quality standards are met and efficiency is maintained.
  • Describe and present project efforts and goals clearly to clients and the public.
  • Report to the shared workspace in Pasadena, California four times per week for project collaboration, meetings, professional development, and culture.
Desired Qualifications
  • An E.I.T. certification.
  • Experience using Civil 3D.
  • Some knowledge of fluid mechanics and survey basics.
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
  • Experience with stormwater best management practices and/or low-impact development.
