- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of workers’ compensation class codes
- Experience with Insurity, HubSpot, and Salesforce preferred
- Verifying businesses using various resources and databases
- Experience underwriting insurance for payroll partners valuable
- Strong expertise in the California workers' compensation market preferred
- Assess medium to complex risks for underwriting and binding new and renewal coverage
- Make underwriting decisions using underwriting guidelines and risk exposures
- Build and maintain outstanding payroll partner customer relationships
- Resolve customer inquiries and provide technical assistance
- Maintain industry knowledge on commercial insurance underwriting
- Participate in risk portfolio review and evaluation
- Handle high volume of transactions and other tasks as needed
