Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum one year manufacturing experience or minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Continuous improvement experience preferred. Understanding of lean principles.
  • Ability to lead others in alignment with the Vermeer characteristics and behaviors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of performance metrics including, but not limited to, safety, quality, fulfillment, cost and inventory.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of equipment and machinery operation.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of assigned area including, but not limited to, projects, production, costs, scheduling, shipping, receiving and quality. Ensure on-time delivery of the product, within budget, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Drive root cause problem solving to address vendor, supplier and customer issues concerning quality and delivery.
  • Lead the development and implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement projects to improve cost, quality, and safety standards for assigned area.
  • Ensure safety and accountability of team members in assigned area. Ensure execution of countermeasures to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Scorecard requirements.
  • Manage required documentation to meet Vermeer internal and external regulations.
  • Encourage team member development and engagement. Create an environment for team members to learn and grow.
