Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in acquisition and logistics support.
  • A Master's degree in a related field, with additional years of experience acceptable in substitution for the degree requirement.
  • Knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning during each phase.
  • Extensive experience with defense acquisition management processes in accordance with Department of Defense 5000.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense integrated product support element structure.
  • Familiarity with the Product Support Business Case Analysis and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan processes.
  • Familiarity with accomplishing a Logistics Health Assessment.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense Product Support Manager Guidebook.
  • Knowledge of department or agency policies and procedures related to implementing and managing a government-furnished equipment program.
  • Knowledge of department or agency policies and procedures related to inventorying and tracking accountable property.
  • Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems.
  • Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support.
  • Ability to coordinate and evaluate functional specialists' efforts to identify specific requirements and develop or adjust plans and schedules to meet each requirement on time.
  • Ability to integrate separate functions when planning or implementing a logistics management program.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Visio and Project.
  • U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret clearance are required.
Responsibilities
  • Direct, develop, or perform logistics management operations involving the planning, coordinating, or evaluating of logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or designated program.
  • Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program.
  • Correlate requirements with the program plan to ensure that needed support is provided at the right time and place.
  • Lead a project team in completing complex projects.
