What does it mean to be an Inside Sales Manager at GLS?
As an Inside Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a profitable team of sales representatives. You will also be responsible for capturing deals that meet the company’s risk and profitability guidelines within the assigned market.
How will you drive value within the organization as an Inside Sales Manager?
- Credit Decision-Making: Act as a credit authority, ensuring timely communication of credit decisions to dealer partners and working collaboratively to structure deals that meet the needs of all parties.
- Team Leadership: Set departmental goals, create effective work schedules, and motivate and lead the team through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize workflow by analyzing daily reports and ensuring the team meets service level expectations.
- Performance Management: Monitor team performance against key metrics and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with dealers through exceptional customer service, effective communication, and timely responses to inquiries.
What should you already know to be successful as an Inside Sales Manager?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Industry Experience: Experience in auto finance operations or the auto industry preferred
- Leadership: People management experience strongly preferred
- Credit Expertise: Thorough knowledge of credit-related laws, consumer lending/underwriting concepts, and industry best practices
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to sell and overcome objections in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively under pressure
- Self-Motivation: Intrinsically motivated individual who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and drives improvements
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business applications, with the ability to quickly learn new software
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively
Employment Requirements:
- Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
- Talk and hear to exchange accurate information
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
- The position does not require travel
- This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times. Generally, the schedule will be Monday through Friday 9-6 or 10-7 and every other Saturday
