We’re looking for top engineering leadership to join the movement. Credit Karma is building a full-scale financial platform to champion financial progress by helping our members improve their credit, pay off debt and plan for the future. The Credit Karma Cardsteam is a fundamental piece to achieving that vision. The Credit Cards Engineering team builds products and features that help our members both manage their current cards and shop for new ones. As a part of the largest product vertical at Credit Karma we develop features that reach millions of members and drive revenue . We also work cross functionally to innovate and accelerate new feature development for the organization at large.
This is a cross-functional leadership role requiring partnership across various data science and engineering teams, product and marketing stakeholders within Credit Karma, as well as managing external partners. If you have a technical background, possess high EQ, and are excited about helping our members gain access to world class financial products, you will be a great fit for this role.
What you’ll do:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, while delivering on key growth targets for Cards
- Help create and execute on milestones for this integration, working closely with your product counterparts
- Manage a growing engineering team with all levels. You’ll start small and get the opportunity to build a team as your responsibilities scale
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and provide deep technical guidance to the team is an added plus
- Work collaboratively with product thought leaders and other engineering leads within the organization; help shape product strategy and ship impactful experiences key to driving growth for Cards
- The cherry on top: along with people and technical leadership, you’ll have the ability to balance hands-on contribution and program management for products your teams ship

What we are looking for:
- 2+ years of software engineering management experience
- Previous experience as a hands-on technical contributor
- Drive to lead by example, develop new leaders, and be a catalyst for change throughout the organization
- Experience delivering products in an agile environment
- Love of web and mobile products
What we would like to see:
- Experience managing Full Stack teams in a cross functional and distributed environment is a major plus
- Hands on experience as a high level IC - making architecture decisions, not afraid to get your hands dirty and guide the team through complex technical challenges
- Thoughtful empathy while constantly challenging our current processes
- Influential communication skills which bring together product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders

Pay Transparency Notice: Credit Karma’s mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base salary range for this role is $207,000 to $258,444, plus equity and benefits.
