Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) with a current unrestricted Alaska Optometry license
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) with a current unrestricted U.S. Optometry license, with Alaska Optometry license preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of start date
  • Optometrist License - Alaska State Board of Examiners in Optometry
  • Travel required for field work
  • Knowledge of advanced eye care to perform clinical duties that meet the standards of care set by the American Optometric Association

Responsibilities

Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of Optometric Residency or Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry or a current Optometry Board Certification OR 2 years of clinical optometry experience

Juneau Youth Services provides emergency, residential, and community-based behavioral health care for children, teens, and their families in Alaska.
