Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2 years of experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc.) and performing maintenance/troubleshooting on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes etc.).
  • Confirmed experience troubleshooting PLCs and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
  • Experience using a CMMS and applying process data to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Proven understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and material conveying systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, codes and standards.
  • Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on other shifts and/or come in early or stay late as needed.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures on-shift as well as collect data for further analysis by reliability personnel.
  • Lead safety pre-job reviews as well as observations of work completed on shift.
  • Act to improve the efficiency and quality of the work assigned to their work force and gives timely attention to emergency jobs.
  • Submit accurate reports of work execution activities.
  • Coordinate company policies as they relate to assigned personnel.
  • Maintain close liaison with production, support groups, maintenance planners, engineers and other supervisors.
