Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience in aerospace, avionics, or regulated product development.
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration and European Union Aviation Safety Agency certification processes or compliance testing.
  • Experience with laboratory or environmental testing, such as DO-160 or similar standards.
  • Strong technical writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • A bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, systems, software, or a related engineering field is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support certification planning and execution for aircraft lighting and control systems.
  • Prepare compliance documentation, qualification test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Coordinate environmental qualification testing using DO-160 and photometric performance testing.
  • Contribute to system safety analyses and installation approvals.
  • Work with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory representatives.
  • Participate in certification reviews, audits, and test events.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with aircraft lighting or cabin and avionics systems.
  • Exposure to DO-178C or DO-254.
  • Tier 1 supplier or supplemental type certificate certification experience.
