Requirements
  • Experience in a building, trade or facilities maintenance environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of QA, OHS, and environmental systems
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond calmly to changing site needs
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Competency using maintenance management systems and basic Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
  • Perform general building maintenance including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, tiling, patching and repairs
  • Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance across site assets
  • Accurately record works in QFM and maintain compliance documentation in QMS
  • Support Facilities Managers with reporting, minor capital works and planning activities
  • Liaise with and monitor subcontractors to ensure safe and compliant service delivery
  • Maintain strong safety practices aligned with OHS and Environmental Management Systems
  • Build positive relationships with site stakeholders and the broader precinct community
  • Participate in occasional ad hoc on-call requirements
Desired Qualifications
  • Handy Person experience across plumbing, painting, tiling, carpentry and general repairs
  • Training in current OH&S and QA legislation
  • Experience working within government or large property portfolios
