Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of construction accounting and general construction processes preferred
  • Understanding of GAAP Accounting preferred
  • Experience with Yardi, Payscan, and Nexus or related accounting and AP software preferred
Responsibilities
  • Perform full cycle job-cost accounting for all development/construction projects
  • Manage project costs through budget tracking, invoicing, reconciliation, and cash management
  • Perform month-end processes, including job cost accruals, journal entries, place in service, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare and source monthly accruals and job status updates from the project teams
  • Complete month-end checklists as it relates to projects
  • Track payments and lien releases against contracts/budgets
  • Assemble, submit, and reconcile Construction Loan Draws and Capital Reserve Requests to lenders for funding
  • Be the main point of contact between assigned projects and other business units within the organization
  • Calculate development management fees and analyze month-to-month variances
  • Track milestone dates and assist with Valuations and Appraisal requests
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Manager
