Responsibilities
  • Ensure confidentiality of all personnel data, documentation, and recruitment-related information.
  • Support UHC’s mission to provide community-based healthcare by aligning recruitment efforts with organizational values.
  • Communicate effectively across all departments, maintaining high standards in verbal and written correspondence.
  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with all relevant federal and state employment laws.
  • Generate and maintain accurate reports; recommend improvements to recruitment workflows and organizational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and support provider recruitment events such as job fairs and community engagement activities.
  • Understand and align recruitment strategies with current and projected staffing needs.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment profiles for open positions with appropriate approvals.
  • Create and update job postings across all applicable platforms to ensure accuracy and visibility.
  • Source candidates using diverse recruitment methods including job boards, social media, and events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for physician and provider applicants in support of the Director of Provider Recruitment.
  • Track applicant data, communications, and CVs in the applicant tracking system.
  • Screen candidates based on job criteria and organizational fit.
  • Assist with federal/state loan repayment programs requirements and employment verifications.
  • Assist in provider employment visa processes.
  • Coordinate all aspects of pre-boarding and onboarding for new physicians and providers.
  • Track and manage onboarding progress to ensure timely start dates aligned with patient care needs.
  • Ensure completion of all compliance steps, including background checks and credentialing.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and leadership to support onboarding activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of department services to direct and assist internal and external stakeholders efficiently.
  • Build strong working relationships with leadership to understand departmental goals, culture, and recruitment needs.
  • Support applicant pipeline development by establishing community and academic outreach programs.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and organizational confidentiality standards regarding new hires and employee data.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, and discretion in all internal and external interactions.
  • Communicate recruitment project statuses to leadership and prioritize responsibilities accordingly.
  • Balance workload to ensure responsiveness to stakeholder needs and ongoing departmental tasks.
  • Participate in professional development activities and internal meetings as required.
  • Work flexible hours as needed; attend mandatory department events.
  • Travel occasionally for recruitment-related duties.
