Pace Industries Cambridge Division is a complete to print, contract manufacturer of quality, close-tolerance Engineered Die Castings. We supply Machining, Assembly and Finishing to our die casting customers that are seeking a total resource provider for their aluminum & zinc components. We perform simple to sophisticated machining operations using various types of CNC equipment & facilitate/participate in the design of dedicated centers for jobs that require a complicated machining solution.
We are looking for a Quality Manager for our contract manufacturing company serving the world’s leading aerospace, medical, and robotics companies. This is an opportunity to become a critical part of our management team and have a tangible effect on the success of the business.
The Quality Manager is responsible for all quality assurance functions throughout the manufacturing process and post-manufacturing support. The Quality Manager serves as a leader in the business, working closely with all internal departments and external customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage, improve, and maintain the Quality Management System for continued effectiveness.
- Manage a team of quality engineers and inspectors.
- Manage the flow of work through the QC department, including inspection.
- Organize, promote, and manage companywide quality improvement efforts.
- Work directly with customers, vendors, certification bodies, etc. on issues related to the QMS.
- Within manufacturing facility, oversee APQP activity. Prepare and submit PPAPs/FAIs.
- Manage the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Control work instructions.
- Manage RMA and internal MRB processes.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions related to quality issues/concerns.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus 5 years related experience -or- 10 years industry specific experience including supervisory/management responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze drawings and Cpk data
- Ability to distill requirements and their practical applications – form, fit, function
- Ability to analyze manufacturing processes to establish root cause and corrective action
Skills:
- GD&T
- Mechanical inspection
- CMM fixturing and output analysis
- Understanding of/experience with relevant certifications – ISO, IATF, AS9100, etc.
