Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician is required.
  • Current certification as an Anesthesia Technician from the American Society of Anesthesia and Surgical Technologists and Technicians is a strong-candidate qualification.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, operate, and maintain anesthesia and laboratory equipment, including physiological monitors and blood gas analyzers.
  • Assist medical staff with technical problems related to anesthesia.
  • Assist the anesthesia provider with the delivery of anesthesia under general direction, including assembling, maintaining, evaluating, and operating equipment used in complex cardiovascular, neurosurgical, and multi-trauma procedures.
  • Prepare each operating room in a timely manner with the anticipated instruments, supplies, and equipment for each anesthesia procedure.
  • Assist with positioning, prepping, and draping patients for surgical procedures.
  • Clean and prepare rooms between procedures and after the last case, restock supplies when necessary, and organize effectively for end-of-case cleanup.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of experience with complex surgeries is sought in strong candidates.
  • Trauma experience is preferred.
