We’re looking to hire an Internal Audit Lead to help build out the core of our Internal Audit function at Mercury and execute on our audit plan. You’ll help lead audits internally within Mercury as well as supporting audits being conducted externally by third parties. Over time, you will become a subject matter expert on Mercury’s operations and compliance obligations.

Some things you’ll do on the job:

• Scope, plan and lead internal audits across Mercury products and operations
• Conduct process walkthroughs and execute audit testing to confirm the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls
• Assess compliance with Mercury’s compliance obligations
• Socialize, document and report audit issues identified
• Work with teams on audit issue remediation and conduct issue follow up testing
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate should:

• Have experience scoping and planning new, complex audits in the financial services industry 
• Have experience leading audit teams and coaching team members
• Be comfortable conducting walkthroughs, creating audit test plans, and executing internal controls testing
• Have experience working with financial services companies, and have a working knowledge of laws, regulations and risk management standards for financial services
• Have the ability to quickly grasp and understand complex business processes
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to manage their own schedule to ensure deadlines are met
• Be a self-starter, someone who likes to innovate and think about how we can do things differently to be more efficient and effective
• Experience with IT audits is a nice to have

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and all employees receive salary + equity + benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.

If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.

The salary range for candidates in the New York City or San Francisco area is $156,000-$179,000.

The salary range for candidates in the US outside of the New York City / San Francisco area is $132,500-$152,500.

The salary range for candidates in Canada is CAD 138,500-159,500.
