Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware design, including PCB layout, high-speed digital design, RF, and mixed-signal applications
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium or KiCad
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, RF impedance, EMI, and high-density multi-layer PCB design
  • Hands-on experience with debugging and validation tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
  • Experience working with low-speed interface protocols such as UART, SPI/I2C as well as high-speed protocols such as SGMII, JESD204B/C and PCI-Express
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
  • Ability to work on-site in Arlington, VA
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of advanced hardware solutions for RF, network, digital, power, and mixed-signal applications
  • Oversee PCB design using CAD tools, ensuring designs meet mission-critical requirements for size, power consumption, and performance
  • Research and integrate productization solutions, including I/O, power, casing, and thermal considerations, collaborating closely with mechanical engineers and other disciplines
  • Manage the bring-up, debugging, and validation of hardware designs, utilizing oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
  • Identify and coordinate manufacturing with contract board fabrication and assembly vendors to ensure quality production
  • Document designs, layouts, and testing procedures to ensure clarity, completeness, and adherence to standards
  • Collaborate with software, security, and mechanical teams to create integrated hardware solutions for high-assurance applications
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the cybersecurity and embedded system security domain
  • Knowledge of SoCs, FPGA/ASIC development, including RTL design and verification using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog
  • Familiarity with FPGA/ASIC development using SystemVerilog, VHDL, and Verilog for high-performance embedded applications
  • Familiarity with RTL synthesis, verification, and timing analysis using tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Microsemi Libero
  • Familiarity with Linux OS, C, C++, Python, Bash, and TCL scripting
  • Experience with hardware security, side-channel analysis, or reverse engineering
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical execution
