Parallel Systems is seeking an IT Specialist to implement, monitor and maintain the IT systems that support our team. You will report into the Software org, and you will maintain systems at our main offices in CA.

Responsibilities

Maintain network infrastructure, add and remove elements, configure network parameters
Implement long-term infrastructure improvement projects
Respond to requests for technical assistance including over the phone, on slack or by email
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues on Windows, Mac and other operating systems
Assist in the onboard/offboard process for new and former employees

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or 3+ years full-time experience working in IT
Experience with major operating systems including Windows, MacOS, Linux
Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 30 lbs

Preferred

Experience administering Active Directory in a corporate environment
Working knowledge of authentication schemes including Kerberos, SAML, OAuth or similar
Understanding of wireless networking technologies, security schemes, network planning
