The Biomedical Acceleration and Commercialization Center (BACC) at Albany Medical College focuses on turning bio-discovery into real healthcare products and services. It runs an ecosystem that brings together entrepreneurs, inventors, academic researchers, and students to refine technologies, access resources and facilities, and connect with mentors and industry experts to grow biotech ventures. Unlike groups that only do research or funding, BACC provides hands-on support, space, and connections to help ideas move toward commercial development and broader patient impact. Its goal is to discover, develop, and accelerate breakthrough biotechnologies that improve patient experiences and outcomes while contributing to regional economic growth.
