Requirements
- BS Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering or related Engineering / Technical degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural / civil engineering
- Availability for shift work during installation
- Must meet nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
- A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation
- Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to ensure plant modifications and project activities comply with structural engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Interface with Project Manager, contractors and engineering staff to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification
- Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis
- Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Balance of Plant Engineering Manager
- Assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization
Desired Qualifications
- Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR)
- Experience in the nuclear or relevant industry performing Structural/seismic design/analysis
- Knowledge of AISC & ACI design codes, NRC requirements for safety-related structures, and software analysis tools such as GT Strudl or equivalent
- Experience with AutoPIPE, Stran, or Relap software programs
- Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualifications
- Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
