Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within an automotive environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, and core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP.
  • Proven experience leading internal and external audits, including customer and certification body audits.
  • Hands-on experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
  • Experience in an international company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools such as SPC or QMS platforms.
  • Valid work authorization in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA standards.
  • Lead and plan internal audits and coordinate external audits, including customer and certification body audits.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues and manage complaint resolution using 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Monitor customer scorecards, drive improvement plans, and report monthly to management.
  • Lead or support supplier evaluations and audits, and manage supplier non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Monitor in-process quality controls and implement process adjustments to maintain product standards.
  • Lead the development and approval of Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAP submissions.
  • Support new product launches from a quality assurance perspective.
  • Track quality KPIs, including scrap rates, rework, PPM, and internal and external defect rates, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Implement Statistical Process Control and other data-driven quality tools such as MSA according to customer requirements.
  • Manage and develop quality team members, and conduct quality training sessions for inspectors, technicians, staff across operations and logistics, and new employees during onboarding.
  • Identify potential quality risks and recommend preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Create or update instructions, procedures, and visual forms across the plant for all departments.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned.
