Requirements
  • 10-15 years of experience
  • PE license required (ability to be licensed in IL)
  • Chicago Department of Aviation experience is advantageous
  • Past or present experience within aviation is required
  • Experience having managed medium to large size projects
  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibit creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork
  • Power distribution systems and communication networks experience required
  • Lighting software experience required
Responsibilities
  • Design and perform calculations for lighting systems
  • Prepare load analysis for different stages of design
  • Prepare drawings detailing system designed that meet client, airport and/or FAA requirements
  • Power distribution systems and communication networks design
  • Prepare and document Energy compliance calculations and forms
  • Select equipment and fixtures for use in the building
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines
  • Keep management advised and of all quality, schedule and budget variances in a timely manner
  • Preparing project construction documents and reports
