Requirements
  • Pre-construction scheduling, logistics, and planning experience.
  • Ability to create project schedules and weekly look-ahead schedules.
  • Experience coordinating budgets with the project management team.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and/or large or complex projects.
  • Experience managing and coordinating field teams, trade partners, and owner vendors.

  • Knowledge of construction safety practices and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve on-site challenges and issues.
  • Ability to mentor and train field personnel and support talent development.
  • Experience participating in potential client interviews.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Six to fifteen years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission-critical projects; alternatively, a bachelor's degree with at least five years of such experience or a master's degree with at least three years of such experience.
  • Experience managing all aspects of field operations, including scheduling, quality control, and trade-partner coordination.
  • Solid background in construction trades and technical knowledge.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Participate actively in requests for proposal responses by developing presentations and participating in pitches.
  • Manage pre-construction scheduling, logistics, and planning.
  • Create, maintain, and update accurate and detailed project schedules and weekly field updates.
  • Manage the field team, trade partners, and owner vendors through proactive communication.
  • Recognize and resolve on-site challenges and issues promptly while minimizing cost impact.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and lead and document safety meetings in accordance with the company's safety culture and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Maintain project documentation on site.
  • Manage project closeout, including required inspections, punch-list completion, equipment commissioning, and owner or owner-vendor training.
  • Review general conditions and labor requirements with the project management team while monitoring financial commitments.
  • Use the company's established systems and technology efficiently and to required standards.
  • Participate in business development and client relationship management through industry events, networking, and relationships with clients and designers.
  • Attend career fairs and client or industry events.
  • Participate in the intern program and mentor interns, project engineers, and assistant project managers.
  • Serve as a professional role model for interns, project engineers, and assistant superintendents.
  • Supervise an assistant superintendent, project engineer, field assistant, and/or intern when assigned.
