JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Penn State Eberly College of Science’s Office of Communications seeks a part-time digital media intern to join our communications team for the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters to help create innovative and engaging content that aligns with college and University goals.
This position requires candidates to be current Penn State students at University Park campus and will require seven to ten hours per week at $12 per hour.
The intern will have the opportunity to
create content for a variety of social media platforms such as X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube;
write student feature stories, college event announcements, etc. to be published on the college’s website;
participate in brainstorming new content ideas;
research emerging content trends in the social and digital media space; and
attend campus events, as needed.
The successful candidate will
be organized and detail oriented,
be self-motivated,
understand the current social media landscape,
have multimedia experience for social media production, and
have the ability to connect college goals and values to overall content strategy.
