Job Description

Wish Strategy & Transformation is a corporate-level department reporting to the CEO that delivers long-term market, business, and product insights, and then drives short-term results by leading company initiatives for the Wish turnaround story.

The Strategy & Transformation team is responsible for developing strategic narratives and priorities, leading company-level planning activities and operating cadences, overseeing the high-level processes driving product development and execution, and using internal and external data sources to provide/align the company with a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and market forces.

This is a particularly dynamic time in our company history, leading to a significantly more fun + interesting corporate strategy and operations role. You will have a tremendous impact on the trajectory of the turnaround, and see an immediate connection between the analyses and recommendations you generate with the subsequent execution and results that follow.

With frequent access to the executive team and cross-functional leaders, a strong balance sheet, and dedicated and innovative product management, engineering, and data science organizations, you will have the ingredients to effect and sponsor high profile, high impact plans and programs that build the future of discovery ecommerce.

The Sr. Manager, Strategy & Transformation will report to the Sr. Director, Strategy & Transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• 8 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or corporate development with an ecommerce or internet focus

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA from top 3 program

• 8 years of experience in management consulting from a top 3 firm

• 5 years of experience with operational responsibility at global ecommerce companies leading teams and programs from ideation to implementation

• Computer science training and extreme comfort with technology and technical people

• Fluent in English and Mandarin

• Experience at rapidly developing strong, trustworthy relationships across organizations and levels

• Excellent communication ability to influence or direct across the company

• Uncommon business acumen, analytical and strategic skills, with ethical and principled values aligned with the Wish mission and operating principles

​​​​​​The base salary range for this position is $119,000-$170,000 annually. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, qualifications and other business considerations.
