Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of previous accounting experience
  • Real estate/private equity experience (preferred)
  • Big 4 or other public accounting experience (optional)
  • CPA (optional)
Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily accounting of assigned books to ensure consistency & accuracy of the general ledger and timeliness of closes
  • Create, reconcile, and validate entries to balance sheet and income statement accounts to close books either monthly or quarterly
  • Prepare consolidation entries including eliminations, profit & loss pick up and noncontrolling interest allocations
  • Maintain bank accounts, monitor cash balances, record cash activity, and prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare wire requests related to financing, acquisitions, funding reserves and payment of expenses
  • Prepare or assist in management fee calculations
  • Assist with fund level contribution, distribution and redemption calculations, as well as summaries and notices
  • Assist with real estate investment & debt schedules for valuations, prepare fair value entries and supporting cost & debt rollforwards
  • Prepare schedules and support for audits, tax preparation and valuations
  • Prepare lender covenant reporting for assigned fund investments
  • Support Financial Reporting with financial statement & footnote schedules, operational metrics, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and investor reporting
  • Assist in reoccurring and ad hoc internal requests accurately and timely
  • Work overtime as needed and with short notice (for time sensitive requests)
