Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, including day-to-day, month-end, and year-end accounting processes, is required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills are required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems and the ability to understand the flow of financial and manufacturing cost accounting data are required.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management are required.
  • The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and handle confidential information professionally is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels and across a global organization is required.
  • The ability to travel up to 10%, primarily domestically, is required.
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Passport is preferred for global work.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, amortization, leases, fixed assets, and related accounts.
  • Manage daily cash account reconciliation, payments, bank adjustments, cash analysis, and month-end reporting.
  • Prepare and post journal entries in the enterprise resource planning system with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Support intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, reconciliations, prepaid records, and global netting processes.
  • Collaborate with financial teams around the world to resolve intercompany billing and account discrepancies.
  • Prepare automated clearing house, wire, and check payments on a weekly and as-needed basis.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close activities while maintaining deadlines and accuracy.
  • Assist with quarterly and monthly financial reporting, budgeting, management fees, and shared services.
  • Support year-end audit activities and provide requested documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, process enhancement, and cost reduction.
  • Maintain accurate accounting process documentation and provide cross-training and backup support within the accounting team.
  • Work collaboratively across departments and geographies to resolve issues and keep financial processes running smoothly.

Pyrotek specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of advanced equipment for handling molten metals, particularly centrifugal pumps and degassing systems used in aluminum, zinc, and lead operations. As the company evaluated options for growth, it considered both its existing Aurora complex and out-of-state alternatives.
