Requirements
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation are required.
- Bilingual English and Spanish language ability is required.
- The candidate must be able to work and commute in and around the Santa Clara area.
- The candidate must be able to pass a background check according to state industry standards.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, email, and basic data entry, is required.
- The candidate must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to different client needs.
- The candidate must be comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings with clients.
Responsibilities
- Coach clients on building independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and hygiene.
- Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
- Help plan, create, and organize weekly goals and schedules that work for clients.
- Provide consistent documentation of client progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
- Spend 90% of working time in the field with clients and 10% on administrative work and documentation.
- Collaborate with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff.
Desired Qualifications
- Behavioral health experience is preferred but not required.
