- A baccalaureate degree is required, with major fields of study including Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Planning or Transportation Planning or a closely related field; with two years of related experience, of which one year must be in a supervisory/management/administrative capacity, or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
- Assist in the management, coordination, development and production of efficient and reliable train timetables and crew work programs for New York City Transit subway lines and subway employees.
- Prepare supplemental timetables and work programs for temporary subway route diversions and special events.
- Analyze and evaluate ridership data on subway operations.
- Knowledge of the routes and operating practices of the subway networks that comprise the New York City Transit system.
- Knowledge of MTA New York City Transit rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Experience in schedule making related to subway operations.
- Knowledge of automated scheduling data processing systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
