Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in the information technology industry.
- At least 6 years of expertise in UNIX.
- At least 6 years of experience with Ab Initio.
- At least 5 years of expertise in SQL programming.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and interact with multiple information technology teams and business partners.
- Experience with ETL, UNIX, Ab Initio, and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage multiple Ab Initio projects.
- Gather business requirements from clients and work with offshore teams to complete projects.
- Consult with the business to determine the logical design for new business solutions.
- Perform code reviews, analyze execution plans, and refactor inefficient code.
- Follow data standards, resolve data issues, complete unit testing, and prepare system documentation for ETL processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and other team members to determine data extraction and transformation requirements.
- Collaborate with information technology operations and testing organizations to ensure timely project releases.
- Collaborate with information technology operations to perform root cause analysis.
- Support the development of software programs with assistance from the offshore team.
- Use customer requirements to improve functionality, including speed, performance, and usability.
- Respond to bug fixes and enhancement requests.
- Complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
- Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties.
- Work in a team environment and manage multiple assignments concurrently under aggressive deadlines.
- Attend status meetings.
- Review test plans and test results with required stakeholders and business representatives and obtain signoffs and approvals.
- Set up design and code review meetings with clients and offshore teams.
- Provide status updates to the project manager and project stakeholders.
