Requirements
  • Good verbal, reading and writing proficiency in English.
  • Good computer and administrative skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant hotel systems/POS.
  • Strong communication, guest-contact and problem-solving skills.
  • A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in In-Room Dining, Food & Beverage or a similar guest-facing hotel position.
  • Experience in order taking, telephone etiquette, cashiering and POS operations.
  • Experience handling guest requests, preferences, complaints and service recovery professionally.
  • Ability to work effectively during high-volume operations, extended hours and changing operational requirements.
  • Secondary education or a relevant bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities
  • Update daily operational feedback and prepare required cashiering and operational forms.
  • Handle cash accurately and follow Raffles and Accounting procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of menus, wine and beverage lists, promotions, specials and hotel services.
  • Check item availability with the Culinary team and communicate changes promptly.
  • Answer calls promptly, take orders accurately, make personalized recommendations, and upsell effectively.
  • Follow POS and cashiering procedures and maintain delivery times within service standards.
  • Keep the Order Taker cabin and pantry clean, organized and fully prepared throughout service.
  • Support floor colleagues with order deliveries during busy periods and assist other outlets when required.
  • Process beverage and store requisitions through Future Log and handle equipment and operational materials carefully.
  • Maintain accurate guest preferences and communicate relevant guest information during in-room dining.
  • Record and share daily operational feedback, guest preferences and service opportunities with the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Report guest complaints, service concerns and operational glitches promptly and follow service recovery standards.
  • Support the operation in the absence of a Supervisor or Manager to ensure service continuity.
  • Maintain compliance with LQA, HACCP, hygiene, sanitation, health and safety, and Raffles standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in training, briefings and meetings and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  • Promote Raffles Dubai facilities and food and beverage experiences through recommendations and guest engagement.
  • Report deviations from established standards and procedures to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with LQA, HACCP, hygiene and luxury service standards.
  • Previous experience supporting multiple food and beverage outlets or cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working independently and taking initiative in the absence of a Supervisor or Manager.
