Requirements
  • Have or obtain a Washington State Registered Nurse license and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license to practice.
  • Have prescriptive authority.
  • Hold Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
  • Complete an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist educational program and hold national certification.
Responsibilities
  • Provide full-service anesthesia care for patients across all levels of acuity.
  • Work with all members of the surgical staff team in collaboration to support best practices.
  • Work under the administrative supervision of the Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and clinical supervision of the Chief of Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
  • Serve as an adjunct member of the medical staff.
  • Work a full-time day schedule with available 8-, 10-, 12-, and 13-hour shifts; no weekends, holidays, nights, or call.
  • Participate in educational opportunities and professional growth and development supported by UW Medicine.
