Join Aprio’s Specialty Tax team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Tax Manager to join their dynamic team.
Position responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence on tax risks and opportunities while advising both strategic and private equity buyers and sellers on alternative tax strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of domestic and businesses.
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing merger agreements and providing opinion letters.
- Review, assess, and advise clients regarding the tax computations reflected in their financial models, and assist clients in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the tax data in their financial projections for the transaction.
- Work with current and prospective multinational clients to develop tax structures
- Participate and lead brainstorming and other technical sessions intended to understand a client or prospective client’s tax position
- Proficiently research technical issues arising from such brainstorming sessions
- Keep current with tax practices and changes in the tax law having a direct impact on our current and prospective clients
- Market tax services to existing and potential clients
- Draft and assist in the delivery of proposals and other client presentations
- Provide and review written and oral advice to clients serving a range of industries
- Mentor and supervise tax professionals serving as Associates, Senior Associates
- Collaborate with our Morrison KSi affiliates across the globe to provide tax solutions to our clients and prospects.
- Lead and identify business opportunities and enhance the go-to market strategies in the Atlanta and New York City market and throughout the Northeast
- Lead and manage multiple buy side and sell side due diligence engagements (focus on financial due diligence)
- Participate in transactions related to the acquisitions by private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers
- Demonstrate an understanding of transaction advisory knowledge to client situations
- Identify trends in operating results, cash flows, quality of working capital, assets and earnings, potential liabilities and exposures
- Develop and deliver quality planning approaches
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience at a top 10 accounting firm or other consulting background
- Approximately 10 years of related work experience
- Successful track record of building and growing a financial due diligence practice
- Knowledge of the private equity groups
- Demonstrates thorough abilities to identify and address client needs, including developing and sustaining meaningful client relationships and understand the client’s business
- Excellent written, oral, presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written abilities
