Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in people roles at high-performing and venture-backed tech startups, with a deep understanding of this industry's unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience in scaling organizations, particularly in Series B+ stages.
  • Detail-oriented and fast-paced, able to hold a high bar for work while making quick decisions without all the data.

Responsibilities
  • Streamline people operations, taking into account what exists and has been created to-date but upgrading and replacing existing systems and processes where necessary.
  • Help us continue to attract and retain world-class talent as we scale more rapidly than we have before.
  • Define and communicate effective strategies for compensation, levels, and benefits in order to enable better talent acquisition, management, and retention.
  • Be a part of organizational planning, providing insights on roles and budgets.
  • Be a thought partner with the founding team and help scale our culture and values as the business continues to grow.
  • Engage cross-functionally with the management team to align goals, strategies, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, taking advantage of the tools we have today. We use Rippling as our HRIS today. We have employees in 8 states as part of our US entity, we also have a Canadian subsidiary for our Canadian employees.
  • Find ways to innovate and question the status quo as Squint grows, never settling for 'that’s just the way things are supposed to be.'
